Producer
Banrock station's commitment to great tasting wine is matched only by its passion for the environment. In partnership with Landcare Australia, Banrock station supports the Australian environment by planting 100,000 native trees and shrubs each year; creating habitats for Australian wildlife, while capturing and storing the atmospheric greenhouse gas, CO₂, for generations to come.
This flat wine bottle is made from pre-existing plastic; 100% post-consumer recycled PET (excludes cap). At only 63g, this bottle is significantly lighter than a glass wine bottle. Space and weight savings reduce this wine's transport-related CO₂, emissions.
Winemaking
Traditional winemaking techniques are practiced to ensure the harvest takes place in the early morning hours to keep the grapes fresh and cool. There is some limited oak ageing after maturation to add soft toasted notes to the final wine.
Fun Fact
The Eco-flat wine bottle is made from Australian-sourced 100% recycled PET plastic. The bottle is 84% lighter than a standard glass bottle. The thin profile means you can fit twice as many bottles in as standard sized wine case. This results in significant reduction in transport related emissions.
Food pairing
Perfect for bbqs and outdoor dining where a versatile white wine is preferred to partner grilled meats, salads and seared vegetables.
