Producer

Brilla, a Venetian sparkling wine company based in Fossalta di Piave, in the province of Venice. The winery produces a range of labels that express all the freshness and immediate pleasure of Prosecco, which has now become a symbol of conviviality all over the world. The concept of Brilla was inspired to combine the world of Prosecco with one of the greatest expressions of design and Italian style: jewels. Brilla created a bottle texture that is reminiscent of diamonds, with a special emphasis on pear shaped diamonds, which have always been synonymous with high calibre jewellery. Once used to adorn the crowns and jewels worn by aristocrats, today they become Prosecco, Brilla Prosecco!

Winemaking

This Prosecco is made with 100% Glera grapes, the typical white grape variety of the area. The grapes undergo soft pressing and are then fermented for 8–10 days with selected yeasts in thermo-regulated steel vats. At the end of a short ageing, the wine is transferred to a pressurized tank where the second fermentation takes place according to the Martinotti Method. This generates the famous bubbles which are captured on the bottling line.

In the province of Treviso, at the foot of Mount Grappa, stands the ancient Borgo di Asolo, an enchanted place where the vineyards look like an artist painted them. Since 2009, the Prosecco produced in this area prides itself of DOCG status. Thanks to its roundness and balance, Brilla is a bubbly spokesperson for this elegant appellation.
