Tasting Note
Beautiful mousse and very fine persistent perlage. On the nose it is warm and fruity with white peaches and apple hints along with summer flowers and honey. Similar flavours on the palate are well balanced with vibrant Macabeo and mouth filling Chardonnay flavours. The finish lingers on with mellow Chardonnay notes.

Winemaking
Cava is made in the método tradicional, as is Champagne, meaning it undergoes a secondary fermentation in bottle prompted by the addition of yeast and sugar.
Faustino Brut Reserva is made from Macabéo, a traditional Spanish grape; which gives freshness and acidity, and international Chardonnay, responsible for the fuller-bodied flavors and long finish.
This wine spends 15 months ageing in bottle on lees which enhances the Chardonnay creaminess and lengthens the finish.

Bottles of Cava can be identified by the four-pointed star imprinted on the cork.
Faustino Brut Reserva was the first ever Cava produced in Rioja wine region and remains one of the very few Rioja houses allowed to produce cava. Almost half the Cava from Rioja today is produced by Faustino.
