Tasting Note
Elegant pale-gold colour with silver undertones. With finesse and delicacy, the nose reveals a seductive aromatic bouquet with notes of white flowers and acacia mixed with fresher notes of yuzu and fennel. On the palate, this wine opens up with floral notes, well balanced by a nice structure and roundness, before revealing its beautiful freshness and a lot of aromatic persistence with notes of acacia, peaches and citrus fruit which gives great length.
Producer
With roots in the wine industry tracing back to 1909 with the purchase of the famed Château de Beaucastel, Famille Perrin is the leading organic wine grower of the Southern Rhône Valley, where they occupy the region’s best terroirs. Today the 4th generation, Jean-Pierre and François, and 5th generation, Marc, Pierre, Thomas, Cécile, Charles, Matthieu and César, work hand in hand, overseeing every aspect of the business: from the vineyard to the cellar, marketing to sales. Famille Perrin’s range of wines offers the richness and diversity of the Southern Rhône Valley. Organic viticulture has been practiced by the family since 1950 and biodynamic practices were introduced in 1974. Masters in the art of blending, the Famille Perrin cares for each of the unique brands it produces with the same expertise and same passion, bringing out the true character of each terroir and offering the best wines for different occasion and at different price points.
Winemaking
Chateauneuf-du-Pape Les Sinards white is a very rare wine sourced from plots managed by the highly acclaimes Château de Beaucastel team.
On arrival at the winery, the grapes are pressed using a pneumatic press. The must is refrigerated and the settling is done by cold maceration, without any additions. The alcoholic fermentation starts in the tank and as of the first day, the must is put into demi-muids barrels. Regular bâtonnage is carried out in order to bring roundness and structure to the wine. After several months in barrels, the wines are slightly fined before bottling.
Food pairing
Perfect with white meat and dishes with cream sauces.
