Beautiful and intense pink colour. Primary aromas of red berries and pomegranate, with refreshing citric notes, over a buttery background. Very fine and elegant bubbles that stimulate the palate, offering a fruity taste with a long and elegant finish.
Producer
Jaume Serra winery is situated at the top of a slope that gently descends towards the Mediterranean Sea in Vilanova La Geltru (Barcelona). Its origins went back to 1647, a year in which it was constructed a place called “El Padruell”, a walled farm that since XVII century it was used for protection to an old *masia-fortaleza that, as the legend says it use to have a passage that connected with the village.
The wine business dates back to 1943 when Don Jaume Serra Güel established his company in Alella and he put his name to it.. In 1984 for lack of enough vineyards in Alella, the winery was moved to the winery to Vilanova La Geltru and it began the construction of the new winery and the planting of the vineyards, which opened in 1986.
Winemaking
This fine Spanish sparkling wine is made using the Traditional Method, in which the secondary fermentation producing a sparkling wine’s bubbles occurs in the bottle. Spanish wine made this way is called Cava and uses the same method as Champagne in France. Jaume Serra Cava Bouquet Tulips Rose Brut is aged on its lees for 9 months in the bottle, adding a hint of toasty creaminess to the palate. Pinot Noir grapes in this blend are responsible for the attractive pink colour.
Food pairing
This dry Rose can be enjoyed on its own and with light dishes and canapes.
