Tasting Note
The wine is soft and plush with delicious, bright, red and black fruits tinged with hints of spicy clove and black pepper. This is the sort of wine that made the Rhone popular for its great everyday reds. The nose is enticing with notes of red fruit and morello cherries. The palate has refreshing acidity and is well-balanced with juicy fruit flavors and soft, plush tannins.

Winemaking
The vineyards are located on the slopes of Mont Ventoux. The altitude offers freshness, which provides a good acidity level to the grapes. The wine is therefore fresh, fruity and well balanced. Vinification is adapted to suit each wine, grape variety and producer. Each grape variety is harvested and vinified separately in order to respect the maturity of each varietal. The harvest date is determined by analysis and tasting of the berries. The grapes are destemmed and crushed. The extraction is done during fermentation in cement tanks with pumping over. After fermentation, the wines are racked and then blended before aging for 10 months.
Fun Fact
Just inside the Provence region sits the mighty Mont Ventoux. Cycling fans will know it as the most gruelling climb of the Tour de France.
