Winemaking
A semi-sweet rose wine made from Zinfandel grapes, which are grown on sandy, rocky and clay-lime soils of the Central Valley of California, near the town of Cutler. Zinfandel is a typically Californian grape that is believed to have originated in southern Italy and was introduced to California by immigrants from Italy. Wine from Zinfandel, thanks to the burning California sun, is strong and juicy, like a fruit dessert. Harvested when the berries reach optimum ripeness and sugar content. A short maceration on the skins gives the wine a beautiful pink colour. Further vinification takes place according to the traditional method of creating white wines.
