Tasting Note

This typical southern French rose displays a dainty pale pink colour with a delicate bouquet of red fruits. Delicious flavours of freshly picked strawberries and raspberries are tempered with a hint of refreshing melon which linger in the mineral finish.

Banrock Station is an Australian wine company with a conscience and is ever mindful of its responsibility to produce wines using sustainable, climate friendly methods. 

The company has now applied these principles and started producing wines in the south of France according to the Wise Wolf philosophy – “One must lead for others to follow”.

Winemaking

This Pays d'Oc IGP wine come from a selection of classic French grapes grown in the Languedoc-Roussillon region in the south of France, a sun-drenched area with a Mediterranean climate. 

The wine was fermented in stainless steel and concrete tanks to preserve berry fruit flavours. Oak wasn't used to ensure a fresh, fruity style of rosé.

Wise Wolf wines are packaged in 95.1% recycled materials that can be recycled again and again. 

The typical virgin glassmaking process uses considerable amounts of energy to produce super smooth transparent glass bottles. Bottles with any tiny bubbles or flaws are rejected and go back again into the smelting process.

Wise Wolf uses recycled green glass (easier to sort and melt than white glass) and special etched moulds so that no bottles are rejected. Apart from the glue for the labels and the capsule liner, all other materials are produced from recycled materials.
