Tasting Note

Bright and aromatic Chardonnay with notes of ripe tropical fruit. The palate is clean; a pure fruit-driven expression. Mango and pineapple combine with green apple to give a fantastically fruity style of Californian Chardonnay. 

Winemaking

The grapes are sourced from selected Chardonnay vineyards in the Central Valley region of central 

California. After being destemmed and crushed, the grapes are vinified in stainless steel tanks (no oak finish) to retain the freshest fruit flavours

Showdown wines from California take their label inspiration from cartomancy (the art of fortune telling). The main characteristic of each wine are matched to characters from a classic pack of cards. The Queen of Clubs is also known as Argine. She is often depicted holding a flower; thus she is known as the flower queen. Calm and collected but quietly powerful.
