Producer
Founded in the 1980s and inspired by the winding roads of California’s wine country, Canyon Road wines express true varietal character in the bottle. The winemaking team uses grapes from some of California’s most prestigious wine regions to bring to life the luscious fruit flavours of each unique variety. Canyon Road wines are made with food in mind. Soft and approachable, the subtle fruit flavours naturally complement a wide array of foods.

Winemaking
Canyon Road is based in California's Alexander Valley and is known for well-made wines that express true varietal flavours. Harvested at optimum ripeness, the grapes are fermented at low temperatures with selected aromatic yeasts to ensure the fresh characteristics of the grapes are enhanced.

Fun Fact
Canyon Road wines are the pet project of winemaker Rafael Jacinto Jofre. Born in Mendoza, Argentina, he studied winemaking at Argentina's University Don Bosco and worked at well known wineries in South America. In 2004, Rafael decided to come to California and now passionately focuses on crafting wines true to their varietal characteristics.  “After many years of winemaking and harvests around the world, I have realized that nothing makes me happier than bringing joy and happiness to my friends and family through a glass of wine,” says Rafael. “To see their smiles and hear their laughs while sharing a good meal enjoying my wine feels so incredibly good. There is no other feeling like it!”

Food pairing
Canyon Road wines are made with food in mind. Soft and approachable, the subtle fruit flavours naturally complement a wide array of foods. This Pinot Grigio is perfect with seafood and grilled shrimp well as summer salads and light dishes.
