Tasting Note

Delicious fruit aromas have a subtle waft of spice leading on to a palate of ripe and juicy cherries and berries. More spice lingers in the finish with very gentle tannins.

Producer

Based in northern Italy, Emotivo are classic fruit forward wines which are especially representative of regions such as Abruzzo and Sicily and classic Italian grapes like Trebbiano and Nero d’Avola.

Winemaking

Sicily’s best known Nero d’Avola wines are harvested when fully ripe to ensure a rounded fruit forward palate. Syrah grapes add some dryness and structure. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel to ensure pure fruit flavours. 

Fun Fact

The Emotivo brand was inspired by an inscription found on a cellar wall during excavations. The round medallion is reminiscent of ancient Rome and there might have been a Roman settlement on the site long ago.

Food pairing

Perfect for al fresco dining of grills and barbeques. Traditional pizza and pasta with red sauces work well and it’s also a good choice for and sipping solo.
