Tasting Note
Beautiful, limpid colour of shiny ruby-red. The nose is revealed with finesse with an aromatic bouquet of fruit, full of freshness. On the palate, this wine is soft, elegant, with good acidity and seductive tangy notes of red fruit such as redcurrant. A wine of great finesse.
Producer
With roots in the wine industry tracing back to 1909 with the purchase of the famed Château de Beaucastel, Famille Perrin is the leading organic wine grower of the Southern Rhône Valley, where they occupy the region’s best terroirs. Today the 4th generation, Jean-Pierre and François, and 5th generation, Marc, Pierre, Thomas, Cécile, Charles, Matthieu and César, work hand in hand, overseeing every aspect of the business: from the vineyard to the cellar, marketing to sales. Famille Perrin’s range of wines offers the richness and diversity of the Southern Rhône Valley. Organic viticulture has been practiced by the family since 1950 and biodynamic practices were introduced in 1974. Masters in the art of blending, the Famille Perrin cares for each of the unique brands it produces with the same expertise and same passion, bringing out the true character of each terroir and offering the best wines for different occasion and at different price points.
Winemaking
Les Sinards is generally made from the young vines from the famous Beaucastel vineyard as well as
vines located near Beaucastel.
Each grape variety is harvested separately. When they arrive at the winery, the grapes are sorted. Part of the Syrah is vinified in whole bunches, the other part as well as the Grenache are destemmed. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape wines are vinified using the same process as the wines of
Château de Beaucastel. After vinification, the wines are tasted to define the blend. Finally, they are aged in oak foudres for 2 years.
Food pairing
Drink with game, truffles and mushrooms.
