Tasting Note
Lots of bright citrus on the nose with some tropical passion fruit and pineapple lead on to more of the same on the palate. Tropical fruits are balanced with crunchy nashi pear. The finish is dry with elegant mineral notes

Producer
Beyerskloof lies in the heart of one of the world's classic red wine areas, Stellenbosch, in the Cape Winelands of South Africa. From its carefully tended vines come wines of international class. Only the finest quality grapes are selected, and then treated in the cellar with unhurried expertise and time-honoured techniques to produce wines of exceptional character.

Winemaking
The Pinotage grapes were picked at an early stage to ensure an abundance of sweet red berries aromas. After crushing the grapes, the juice was immediately drained and separated from the skins to give the wine its white colour. After fermentation a fuller bodied and more structured Chenin Blanc was sourced from the Swartland region and blended with the Pinotage.

Fun Fact
This wine is widely recognised as “The White Pinotage” and is a blend of South Africa’s signature grapes; Pinotage and Chenin Blanc. The black skinned grape is very gently crushed so that none of its typical deep red colour darkens the wine. The result is a very unusual interpretation of the grape.

Food pairing
Light and refreshing, this partners well with summer salads, appetisers and simple fish and poultry dished.
